Team Members:

What we do

The task force will develop test specifications for the Application Programming Interfaces standardized by ISG MEC at ETSI.

During the work, the experts will gather the list of functionalities to be tested to assert conformance of MEC components, define the behaviours expect and develop a suite of tests which will be made available with 2 test systems (implemented respectively with TTCN-3 and the Robot Framework).

For more details, see our Terms of Reference (https://portal.etsi.org/stfs/ToR/ToR569_MEC_API_Conformance_Tests.docx)

Why we do it

The standardization activity of ISG MEC is focused on making available a set of APIs for third party application providers to deploy their applications close to the final users, i.e. at the Edge of the networks.

A healthy ecosystem of API providers and consumers will be fundamental for the spreading of the usage of ISG MEC standards.

The API conformance test suites will help developers and system providers prepare their solutions for interoperable deployments.

How we do it

The task force will meet periodically both remotely and in person to discuss and document strategic decisions. Frequent reports will be made available to ISG MEC for guidance and feeback to be provided.

Moreover the task force will engage with API providers to validate the developed solutions.

Deliverables

The task force will deliver GS MEC 032 Parts 1,2 and 3.

Time plan

The deliverables in scope will be published in Q1 of 2020
