Who we are:

What we do
Defining a testing framework for Multi-Access Edge Computing
technologies implemented according to the standards of ETSI ISG MEC.
The testing frameworks collects requirements and features to be tested
for several components in MEC systems.
For more details, see our Terms
of Reference
Why we do it
MEC stakeholders need to understand what constitutes the minimum set of
mandatory functions and capabilities, possibly required by a specific
use case, and what is the minimum set of information needed to test the
system components for conformance. In addition, interoperability
considerations are becoming important issues.
The outcome of STF 551 will influence the standardization activities
including protocol and test specifications in ETSI ISG MEC, by providing
a testing framework and by offering feedback on possible
interoperability problems.
How we do it
The STF will review and analyse ETSI ISG MEC specification to collect
and categorise requirements and features needed for MEC compliance and
interoperability.
Deliverables
The testing framework developed will be contributed to MEC 025 work item
of ISG MEC.
Time plan
STF 551 will deliver a stable draft of the target work item by the end
of 2018 and support the finalization of the deliverable until April
2019.
