This is the registry for allocation of DECT-2020 NR Endpoint Multiplexing Addresses, for Published Specifications and for Company specific Endpoints. About the Endpoint Multiplexing address space

The 2-octet Endpoint multiplexing address space is structured according to the figure below (Figure reproduced from ETSI TS 103 636-5. In case of discrepancy, the figure in ETSI TS 103 636-5 is always upt to date). Reserved parts of the address space may be used with the caveat that they may be later allocated for other purposes by ETSI.

The Free use EP address space values are recommended to be used in closed systems and during development phase of any system. These values are not allocated by ETSI. The value selection within the Free use EP address space should be randomized.

The Public specifications EP address space shall only be used for application frameworks that are published. It is expected that the published specification defines the meaning of bit fields following the Endpoint field. ETSI allocates the Public specification values on request. A reference (e.g. URL) to the specification and other related metadata to the published specification shall be provided to ETSI.

The Company specific EP address space shall only be used for organizations and private companies. It is expected that the organization or company to whom the value is allocated defines the meaning of bit fields following the Endpoint field, and it is up to them if the bit fields or the frameworks are published. ETSI allocates the Company specific EP values on request.

Request a Public Specification or Company Specific Endpoint Multiplexing Address

clearly indicating in the message subject and body the nature of the request. Please provide sufficient information in your request to enable each column of the relevant table to be completed.

Endpoint multiplexing addresses for published specification

Endpoint multiplexing addresses are allocated for any published specification. Even if this category is primarily intended to be used to refer to specifications defined by standards bodies, addresses may be allocated to other specifications including proprietary specifications provided the specification is publicly available and can be used by others. The applicant for an Endpoint multiplexing address for a public specification need not be the owner or producer of the specification. Applicants for Endpoint multiplexing addresses for published specifications shall provide the following information in the application: Specification name, a reference or link to the publicly available version of the specification, and a short description of the specification. 

Endpoint multiplexing addresses for organizations/companies

Any organization may request the allocation of an Endpoint multiplexing address for their own purposes. Addresses are typically allocated in blocks of 5. If more addresses are required, please indicate this in the application. Addresses are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis in sequential order. Do not use an address until it is published in the table below. Do not assume the next block of addresses will be allocated to your request - there may be another request pending.
