Terms of Reference for ETSI TC MTS AI (Artificial Intelligence)

Responsibilities
The MTS AI Working Group (“AI”), operating under TC MTS, is responsible for
developing methodologies and specifications to support the testing,
documentation, and certification of trustworthy AI.
Technical Tasks
·
Identifying and defining advanced specification,
testing, and auditing method
s for AI-enabled systems, with a focus on conformance, interoperability, and
trustworthiness.

Exploring the use of AI techniques to support testing
processes, including the automated specification of tests, generation of test
data, evaluation and optimization of test execution, and documentation of test
results, applicable to both traditional software systems and AI-based systems.

Developing standardized approaches for technical
documentation of AI systems, supporting regulatory compliance and continuous
conformity assessment.

Contributing to methods enabling conformity assessment
and the evaluation of key AI system quality attributes such as accuracy, robustness,
security, transparency, and -freedom from unwanted bias.
Other Tasks
·
Collaborating
with ETSI groups, including the Centre for Testing and Interoperability (CTI),
and maintaining liaisons with relevant external organizations and
standardization bodies.
