Finance Committee
The Finance Committee was established by the 4th General Assembly in October 1988.
It provides the General Assembly, the Board and the Director-General with assistance and advice with regard to budgetary and financing management of ETSI in accordance with the provisions of the Financial Regulations.
Its Members (presently 8) are nominated by the General Assembly in order to allow with a minimum size, for fair representation of the various categories of ETSI Members.
Unless duly committed by the General Assembly or the Board, the functions of the Finance Committee are merely consultative.
The Finance Committee meets in principle 2 times per year in ordinary session, 1 month before the General Assembly. Especially, in Autumn, it analyzes the draft budget for next year prepared by the Director-General and in Spring it looks at the financial statements of the year before.
Extraordinary sessions may also be conveyed.
