Muhammad Tayyeb

Technical Officer 

Muhammad Tayyeb holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and began his career at Pakistan Mobile Communication Ltd. (Mobilink). He led a regional QoS team, focusing on KPI monitoring, performance management, and benchmarking to improve customer experience and regulatory compliance. 

He then moved to Saudi Telecom Company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he supported international roaming operations and provided technical support for over 600 operators worldwide. In 2019, he joined the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) as Assistant Director, contributing to type approvals and the implementation of the Device Identification, Registration, and Blocking System (DIRBS), which ensures only type-approved and legal mobile devices are operational over mobile networks in the country. His experience spans the radio access and core network of mobile telecommunication networks along with regulations related to QoS and terminal equipment. 

Tayyeb joined ETSI in April 2024 and is currently supporting ETSI radio Technical Groups MSG, TFES, ERM WG EMC and ETSI ISG Terahertz as a Technical Officer.
