E2NA
Architecture
WG (ARCH) shall
- Develop the
Stage 2 architecture requirements in the scope of E2NA, providing an input for
detailed Stage 2 and Stage 3 work to be done in the ETSI organizations that are
members of the project:
o
Defining the
end-to-end architectural aspects suited to support the services specified in the
Requirement documents of the E2NA Project
o
Considering
inputs received from the member organizations and assuring the support of the
corresponding features by the architecture
o
Providing
input to the member organizations and receiving their recommendations in order
to assure the coherence with the architecture of the specifications that are in
their scope
Delegate and collaborate with the EP WG and the member organizations in EP E2NA
to specify parts of the Architecture that require specific expertise and cannot
be developed inside the Architecture WG itself
- Provide
indications to the EP Requirements WG, member organizations and to the Plenary
on the need of WI revision to allow E2NA to maintain an up to date and optimized
Work Plan
Areas of activity
- To document the Network Architecture for EP E2NA,
specifically:
o
Focusing on Service and Network inter-working and interconnection at the
service, control and transport level,
for the evolution of the Operator Networks,Corporate
Networks, and
Customer Premises Networks
(CPNs), including
coverage of security aspects, network
management and testing
o
Addressing the support of Multimedia services and architecture
o
Providing support for emergency services in coherence with the other covered
areas
o
Supporting an optimized interconnection with mobile and cable networks
o
Considering accounting and charging aspects
o
Considering regulatory aspects
o
Considering numbering, routing and naming
- To ensure alignment with other relevant standard groups such as 3GPP and BBF,
and avoid Stage 2 overlaps
Collaboration
with other bodies (both inside and outside ETSI)
- Cooperation with ETSI groups external to the E2NA project.
- Cooperation with other appropriate bodies, in line with ETSI’s external
relations.
