Technical Committee Access and Terminals (TC AT)
Approved at ETSI Board 25
The Technical Committee (TC) Access and Terminals (AT) is the
"home" for terminal matters within ETSI, established on the basis of a
technical area and on the global market sector of Telecommunications Terminals.
TC AT will:
- develop further and maintain expertise about the interaction between
terminals and network (private and public switched or non-switched, seen
from either the network or the terminal side)
- where requested by another ETSI TB, support work on terminals within that
TB by contributing to their discussions and by undertaking subcontracting
tasks
- where requested by TC AT, the TB will liaise with other TB’s as
appropriate to initiate a collaboration activity
- develop and maintain ETSI deliverables on all aspects of terminals not
covered by other ETSI TB’s
TC AT will address the specific technology and regulatory
areas of:
- Analogue presented wired interfaces of Telecommunications Networks
- Digital presented wired interfaces of Telecommunications Networks
- Interfaces based on new technologies as far as they are relevant for
Telecommunications Terminals
- Performance, features and functions supporting Telecommunications services
implemented on terminals
These technologies normally do not include:
- radio specific matters
- core network and access network issues
however some aspects of terminals and corresponding
interfaces using such technologies might be considered.
