TC AT Working Methods

Objective of TC AT

The objective of TC AT is to ensure the production of those terminal and terminal access deliverables appropriate for the timely and economic development of terminal equipment intended for use with existing and future telecommunications services.
See also the AT Terms of Reference.

Decision making

See also the ETSI Technical Working Procedures, clause 1.7 (http://portal.etsi.org/directives).

  • Decisions during a meeting will be taken by consensus or, if previously stated by the chairman, based on vote results evaluated on the basis of the individual weighting of each ETSI full or associate member as described in Article 11 of the Rules of Procedure.
  • Decisions may also be taken between meetings by correspondence [AbC] either by weighted voting over 30 days [EWP 1.7.1.2] or based on consensus over a defined period of time (for example, if no objections within 2 weeks, the proposal (e.g. a document) is considered approved) . AbC for consensus will not usually be for a period of less than 10 days. The formal consensus period will be determined by the chairman taking into account the decisions to be made and the awareness of the members for that decision.
  • Decisions in specific, well-defined occasions may be taken by delegation of powers to a WG.
