TC AT Working Group Digital
Terms of Reference
WG Digital is the part of TC AT responsible for deliverables concerning
digital technologies.
WG Digital recognises that certain elements in this area may be also under
the responsibility of other TB’s, both within and outside of ETSI.
WG Digital will act as a focal point within TC AT for matters concerning
terminals and these accesses.
TC AT WG Digital is responsible for the production and
maintenance of ETSI deliverables for digital network accesses and terminals.
Examples of the technologies addressed include:
- Basic access ISDN;
- Primary rate ISDN;
- B-ISDN
Examples of applications include:
- Telecommunications part of an interactive broadcast link, e.g. CATV and
LMDS;
- Digital leased lines (electrical and optical)
- IP terminals
The following are additional activities that will be
undertaken by TC AT WG_Digital:
- Contribute to the promotion at a global level of the existing basic
harmonising deliverables;
- Develop a consistent approach to standardisation of emerging technologies
and services with a view towards producing global standards.
