The term "3GPP specification" covers all GSM (including GPRS and EDGE for GSM) and 3G specifications. The radio part of the 3G specifications are sometimes also referred to as UTRAN, W-CDMA, UMTS (in Europe) or FOMA (in Japan).
Revised versions of many of these specifications are produced up to four times a year following the quarterly TSG plenary meetings. See the following pages for more details:
Download. All 3GPP specifications (including the 3GPP confidentiality, integrity and authentication algorithms (Kasumi, Milenage etc) are publicly available. Find and download the latest versions from this page.
Current status (version) information. This area contains lists (and a database) which indicate the current version of every release of every specification. This status information has major updates four times a year following the quarterly TSG plenary meetings.

The 3GPP Technical Specifications (and Technical Reports) which are publicly available from the download page mentioned above, have, in themselves, no legal standing.
