Scope and Field of Application |
The scope of the Work Item will include the following topics: 1) Demonstrability, evaluation, and validation: experimental validation of ISAC technology and channel models, possibly using existing wireless infrastructure and/or leveraging commercial wireless signals, including applicability and accuracy in relevant scenarios. 2) Emerging technologies: Investigate adoption and implementation of (existing and emerging) long-term ISAC-complementing topics, such as, Near-Field, RIS, NTN, OAC, etc.), including forward-compatibility and technology evolution. 3) Techno-economics and business aspects: Study and identify Techno-economics and business aspects and opportunities for ISAC technology, including gap-analysis (e.g., new use cases). 4) Interoperability and coexistence: Identify and study enabling technologies for ISAC interoperability among different technologies, including coexistence aspects, resulting benefits and performance for key use cases. |
