Scope and Field of Application |
The main scope of this work item is to create more specific guidance for using the combination reference between ETSI EN 303 645 and EN 18031-X:2024 and to guide: - manufacturers of Internet Connected Radio Equipment (RED DR 2022/30/EU) in the consumer domain that wish to reuse ETSI EN 303 645 as a standard towards the RED DR 2022/30/EU for the creation of their testing report part of the technical documentation. - Notified Bodies to use it as an informative reference for the evaluation process and as alignment when ETSI EN 303 645 is used for compliance towards the RED DR 2022/30/EU The work item will build on the EN 18031-X:2024 requirements and the existing mapping in its informative Annex C Mapping with ETSI EN 303 645 (Cyber Security for Consumer Internet of Things: Baseline Requirements). In addition, the work item will be complemented with vertical considerations applicable to the consumer domain, exploring the additional detailed requirements needed to complement ETSI EN 303 645 provisions with related contextualization. Additional tasks that this work item may consider are: • Including the background and the objectives of this work and additional contextualization needed • Explicit the detailed mapping of ETSI EN 303 645 as already done in ANNEX of EN 18031-X:2024, adding a thorough explanation and level of coverage of the requirements coverage and gaps. • A section that could help manufacturers justify their reasoning for the applicability of ETSI EN 303 645 requirements for their internet-connected radio equipment |
