Scope and Field of Application |
This work item specifies detailed and vendor-agnostic definitions of key benchmarks (performance metrics) for computing at multiple layers implemented in the NFVI, and the required methods of measurement. The key benchmarks include two main aspects:1) testing the computing speed of vCPU and acceleration hardware; 2) testing the latency and bandwidth of virtualized memory access. The design of these benchmarks definitions and methods will take the related aspects of the virtualization environment and virtual resource allocation into account. These Benchmarks are intended to serve as a basis for fair comparison of different implementation of NFVI. | ||||||
