Scope and Field of Application
|
The work item will leverage the work done in IFA009 on the split of the NFVO. It will analyse NFVO split architectures enabling IFA009 use cases. It will analyse the impact on VNF/NS lifecycle management and resource management for the different NFVO split architecture options. It will study the functionality of the components that results from the different NFVO split architecture options and provide the functional description of the reference points between these components. The interfaces between VNFM, VIM, OSS/BSS and new NFVO components after NFVO split will be studied and the impact to existing interface specifications will be analysed. In addition, it will describe informative message flows of the main operations (e.g. VNF/NS lifecycle management and resource management) for the different NFVO split architecture options. Backwards compatibility with the existing architecture should be taken into consideration when analysing the alternatives. The resulting WI deliverable will be informative and will include and supersede the work done on the split of the NFVO in IFA009.
