of Application
This document will address aspects of the design, construction, characterisation and operation of QKD systems that are intended to protect against Trojan horse attacks. Requirements will be related to formal security analyses and the privacy amplification that should be applied to a real system. Measurement methods will be described to characterise real systems. Examples will focus on one-way weak-laser-pulse Mach-Zender QKD systems with decoy states but many of the ideas considered could be applied in the analysis of other system types.
