Title Smart Secure Platform (SSP); I3C® interface (Release 18)
I3C interface for UICC
Scope and Field
of Application
As I3C is a widely used interface inside the terminal, there is need to facilitate the integration of the UICC.
The UICC could also benefit from improved performances of the I3C interface.
The scope of this Work Item is to implement the requirements related to the I3C interface for non-removable UICCs as defined in ETSI TS 102 412.
Special care is needed to define the transport of APDUs over the I3C interface concurrently with other types of data streams. The multiplexing of multiple APDU streams in order to support MLI/LSI/LSE (as defined in ETSI TS 102 221) and MEP (as defined in GSMA SGP.21/22) needs to be specified. Extensibility for other types of data streams should be provided
