Task:
The task is to develop and maintain technical
reports and other ETSI deliverables, in the general field of measurement methods
and their uncertainties, and corresponding usage in particular for mobile radio
and also other applications and specific equipment when requested by TC ERM
and/or OCG.
Such methods contribute to the efficient use of the radio frequency spectrum and
therefore to efficient frequency planning. These need to be considered by
product related standards groups within and outside TC-ERM.
Such methods also support the R&TTE Directive which covers both radio and
terminal equipment.

Other Issues/Remarks:
Liaison will be established with other organisations in this
area either inside ETSI (i.e. other TGs and TBs) or outside (e.g. CEN, CENELEC,
ISO, IEC, GTSC/GRSC, European Commission etc.). Any liaison statement shall be
agreed by TC ERM before it is issued.
In the case of cooperation with other TBs it is expected that TG33 would offer
its expertise in so far as the general approach to uncertainties is concerned
while the other bodies could bring their expertise in their specific area (e.g.
in preparing detailed examples, as those found in TR 100 028 and TR 102 273).
Horizontal aspects, beyond uncertainties, relating to EMC and radio spectrum
matters are deferred to ERM WG EMC and ERM WG RM respectively.
