Scope and Field
of Application
This work item will identify potential use cases and requirements for the MEC system to support AI/ML service capabilities and study possible enhancements to the MEC system to support such service capabilities, including interactions and cooperation between MEC system entities, external clouds, devices, and the core network. The work item will consider AI/ML related work in other SDOs and AI/ML aspects from open-source communities to be discussed in the context of MEC AI/ML services. Impacts to system architectures not specified by ETSI ISG MEC are not in scope of the study.
