Title Short Range Devices (SRD) using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) technology in the frequency range 0,1 kHz to 130 MHz; Harmonised Standard for access to radio spectrum
NMR in 0,1 kHz to 130 MHz
Scope and Field
of Application
The present document specifies technical characteristics and methods of measurements for devices based on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) technology. This radio equipment type is capable of operating in the frequency range 0,1 kHz to 130 MHz. The work includes a detailed description of the wanted performance criterion, RX-requirements and fixed limits for all requirements based on a clear test procedure for NMR devices.
The EN will not cover medical magnetic resonance tomographs (MRT) or imaging devices (MRI). More details on the use-cases and technology see TR 103 517 V1.1.1
The new NRM related frequencies ranges are proposed as n1 to n4:
n1: 100 Hz-148 kHz46 dBµA/m at 10 m distance at 100 Hz outside the NMR device, For enclosed Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) applications. Magnetic field strength descending 10dB/decade above 100 Hz
n2: 148 kHz-5 MHz-15 dBµA/m at 10 m distance outside the NMR device, for enclosed Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) applications
n3: 5 MHz-30 MHz-5 dBµA/m at 10m distance outside the NMR device, for enclosed Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) applications
n4: 30 MHz-130 MHz-36 dBm e.r.p. outside the NMR device, for enclosed Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) applications
