Generic UWB presence detection applications
Scope and Field
of Application
This work item to amend the former version of EN 302 065-1 V2.1.1 is targeting to address the request of the EU desk officer. This includes a detailed description of the wanted performance criterion, RX-requirements and fixed limits for all requirements based on a clear test procedure.
Therefore, this EN will cover presence detection sensors operating in the frequency bands from 3.1 GHz to 4.8 GHz and 6.0 GHz to 9.0 GHz for fixed (indoor only), mobile or portable use
Example of equipment covered by this work item are sensors for detecting presence / position of untagged persons, animals or objects from an offset position, sensors for counting untagged objects within a volume, sensors for classification of objects present in a volume etc.
Equipment covered by the present document operates in accordance with ECC/DEC(06)04 and its amendments.
