Scope and Field of Application |
This EN will cover transceivers, transmitters or receivers utilising ultra-wideband (UWB) technologies for presence detection applications, operating at fixed indoor positions in the 6 GHz to 8.5 GHz region based on ECC/DEC/(06)04, annex A1.3.2. Examples of equipment covered by this work item are sensors for detecting presence / position of untagged persons, animals or objects from an offset position, sensors for counting untagged objects within a volume, sensors for classification of objects present in a volume etc. They operate on an unlicensed basis. The transmitting or transceiver terminals in these devices are at indoor locations | ||||||
