Terms of Reference

1. Mission

The main mission of IMPACT is to give guidance to ETSI on promotional issues.

2. Activities

Elaborate in co-operation with the ES promotion plans with the aim to:

• Promote the European standardization system
• Promote ETSI and its services
• Enlarge ETSI recognition as a key stakeholder within the global telecom arena
• Help disseminate ETSI deliverables
• Help recruit new Members
  

Participate in the implementation of the plans.

IMPACT shall pursue its objectives in accordance with the Strategic Guidelines prepared by the Board. 

3. Participation

The Group shall be open to all ETSI Members.

Industry forum representatives and partner organizations will be invited on an ad-hoc basis.

4. Working Methods

The Group will meet at the discretion of its Chairman & Members.

In between meetings, the group will work electronically (listserv). Focus groups may be set up on specific issues.

The Group will work in liaison with all the relevant bodies within ETSI and partner organizations. It will set up an information system on its activities towards ETSI Members.

5. Organisation

The Group will present an annual activity report to the General Assembly (November GA), highlighting activities and achievements for the year & plans for year Y+1.

Regular information on IMPACT activities will be presented to the Board.

ETSI M&D will act as the secretary to the Group.
